Mark Morton and Jim Root had been with their prior guitar sponsors for quite some time. Mark always playing his signature Jackson Dominion and Jim with many Fender models throughout the years. The switch from Mark was hinted at when he posted a tweet of the Gibson broken diamond. He’s currently playing an array of Les Paul Standard’s that appear to be to his specs. Jim Root on the other hand has made a step to the side with Charvel, a Fender owned company. He’s sporting a custom Pro-Mod San Dimas with a Floyd Rose Trem System, something not seen on his Fender Models.

The Mod Shop Pick of the Week!

This weeks Mod Shop pick is a 70’s Flying V that is almost anything but a 70’s Flying V. The most immediate thing we notice is the Les Paul Style headstock, followed by the weird Bigsby tailpiece configuration. The Bigsby rests on a extension of the body instead of the usual bracing (White Flying V). With the added custom control configuration, this has got to be one of the crazier guitars to come out of the Gibson Mod Shop.
