Despite the amazing news of the MXR/AnalogMan Duke of Tone release, Analog Mike has expressed disdain in a now deleted Instagram post about finding fake parts in his latest batch of King of Tone pedals. These pedals were ready to ship and would’ve cleared up the wait list quite a bit, but have been pulled to have the correct parts added to them. Despite increasing the wait time for this latest batch, it does show the dedication Mike has for his craft.

I’m starting a new section where I pick out my favorite guitar from the Gibson Mod Shop. If you don’t know, the Gibson Mod Shop takes factory seconds and customer returns, mods them, and puts them up for sale here. The guitars listed there move fast and this particular one is no longer available. My pick this week was the 70’s reissue Explorer they modded to have a P90 in the neck, a Tortoise Shell pickguard, and a stellar silver “burst” finish.
